ABOUT BIOLOGIC

What are Biologic Medications?

Domo Health nurses are trained and experienced in administering all major biologic infusion therapies. Each drug listed below is a keyword patients and physicians search — having each one on your page captures those searches.

Biologics are advanced medications derived from living cells — proteins, antibodies, and other complex molecules — that target specific components of the immune system to treat chronic inflammatory, autoimmune, and neurological conditions. Unlike traditional medications that are chemically synthesized, biologics are produced through sophisticated biological processes and must be administered by infusion or injection under clinical supervision.

Because biologic infusions require precise administration, vital sign monitoring, and clinical oversight — particularly for the first several doses — they have traditionally been administered in infusion centers or hospital outpatient settings. Domo Health brings that same level of clinical expertise directly into your home.

WHY CHOOSE DOMO BIOLOGIC?

Why choose Home Biologic Infusion instead of a clinic?

Patients and physicians choose home biologic infusion with Domo Health for the same reasons they choose home IVIg — comfort, consistency, and clinical quality. But there are additional reasons specific to biologic therapy:

No more driving to a clinic every month

Most biologic infusions are monthly or every 6-8 weeks. That is a significant time commitment for patients managing chronic conditions. Home infusion eliminates the travel, the waiting room, and the disruption to the patient's day.

Your nurse knows your history

With home infusion, the same nurse builds familiarity with your response patterns, your access challenges, and your preferences over time. Clinic nurses rarely remember you from visit to visit.

Same insurance coverage

Home biologic infusion is typically covered under the same benefit as clinic-based infusion. Your specialty pharmacy handles prior authorization. Domo Health handles the nursing.

First-dose monitoring at home is safe and clinically appropriate

For patients who have already received their initial doses in a clinical setting and tolerated well, home administration of subsequent doses is safe and guideline-consistent. Your physician makes this determination.
